Chris Newcombe FCCA
I began my working life in the construction industry before deciding in my mid-twenties to change direction and qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant. That shift set me on a career spanning more than 35 years, working at senior and CFO level roles—first in financial services and then, for the past 25 years, in manufacturing. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of how businesses operate, how they grow, and how to navigate both the financial and operational challenges that come with them.

Alongside my corporate career, my family and I spent 15 years investing in and developing property—both commercial and residential, with a strong focus on Build-to-Rent. We managed every project ourselves, which sharpened our practical skills in project management, development, and portfolio growth.
In 2020, I stepped away from full-time corporate life to focus on building and managing our SSAS and expanding our family property portfolio. Today, I’m fully committed to growing our commercial and residential rental holdings and exploring new development opportunities as they arise.
I’m married to Louise, and we have two grown-up children, James and Holly, who are now actively involved in running and shaping the family property business. Working together as a family has made this next chapter both rewarding and exciting.

James Newcombe
I’m James, a trainee Surveyor with three years of experience working for one of the “big three” global surveying firms in Manchester. During that time, I’ve gained hands-on, front-line experience across capital markets, lease advisory, and commercial valuation—exposure that has given me a strong understanding of how the commercial property market operates in practice.

I’m currently in the final year of the BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management degree course at the University of the Built Environment, Reading, with plans to apply for full RICS membership within the next 18 months. Alongside my professional training, I’m actively involved in the family property business, helping to manage and grow our portfolio while gaining real-world experience that complements my studies and career development.

Louise Newcombe
I’m Louise, married to Chris and mum to our two grown-up children, Holly and James, who now work alongside us in managing and growing our family property business. I work part-time in the business, looking after the admin, bookkeeping, and compliance across our portfolio—keeping everything organised, accurate, and running smoothly behind the scenes.
I’ve spent more than 30 years working within Accounts and Payroll teams, initially in logistics and later in financial services. That experience has given me a strong foundation in the detail-focused, regulatory, and time-critical work that keeps businesses compliant and on track. Those same skills now play a central role in supporting our commercial and residential property operations.

Alongside the administrative side of the business, I also bring a passion for interior design. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong eye for creating practical, appealing, and welcoming spaces, and I now lead the interior design for all of our rental properties. From layout and finishes to furnishings and styling, I make sure each property feels modern, comfortable, and ready for tenants to call home.
Working with my family to build and manage the business has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud to help ensure both the foundations—and the finishing touches—of what we do are solid, thoughtful, and well-executed.

Holly Newcombe
I’m Holly Newcombe, a qualified RCN nurse, and alongside my nursing career I support our family property business with marketing and digital media. I enjoy combining my professional life in healthcare with my creative interests, helping to shape our online presence and showcase the work we do as a family.
